The City of Malibu Community Development Department Rebuild staff will introduce the new Archistar AI Platform to local design professionals on Thursday, October 2, 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM at City Hall. The meeting will be livestreamed on the City’s YouTube channel as well. Launching September 30 on the City’s Development Portal, this innovative tool uses artificial intelligence to review building plans for zoning and Building Code compliance before submission, helping make the rebuilding process faster and easier. The meeting is part of the Malibu Community Series, with meetings planned October 2 through January 14.

At the meeting, staff will give a live demo and explain how the platform fits into the City’s new eCheck AI Pilot. Design professionals working on single-family homes impacted by the Palisades Fire are especially encouraged to try the tool for a preliminary review of their plans and give feedback on its performance.
