Are there Permit Exemptions for Exploratory Borings?

For the Broad, Franklin, and Palisades Fire rebuilds, geologic/geotechnical exploratory borings are exempt from requiring excavation permits.  This exemption was confirmed by the Building Official to help streamline the early stages of rebuilding.
